Since 2012 the Bianchi Celeste has always been visible in the Windmill Wheels showroom. We were on board when they started their resurgence back to the pro peleton and we have seen the evolution of the Oltre, Infinito and Specialissma models and custom built many over the years.

When we opened the doors to Windmill Wheels in 2011 we already had Enigma lined up as our headline brand and is a partnership that’s still going strong. We first made contact with BMC in 2018 and haven’t looked back. From the earliest days, BMC has always focused on creating speed. Refining ideas and pushing technologies to their limits. They are fast and unrelenting, They have iconic models like the TeamMachine and new iconic models like the Fourstroke used by World and Olympic champions. We always have Teammachine, Roadmachine, TimeMachine and Twostroke models to view in the showroom.

2022 brings a new brand to the showroom and one we were really excited for, Time bikes! Dedicated to building the best carbon bikes in the world its something they have focused on since their foundation in 1987. Light strong and super stable, Time bikes have been ridden to famous victories by the likes of Tom Boonen. Still designed and made in Europe by highly skilled engineers using a process similarly used in elite motorsports and aerospace. They can be admired in our showroom.

Handmade in Italy Basso bikes offer probably some of the best handmade frames straight out of Italy. Super light climbing frames, Endurance, Gravel and Aero, Basso bikes give you that great look only Italian bikes manage in and affordable package or custom built into your dream machine.

The brand needs little to no introduction, recently one of the most decorated bikes in terms of wins in the pro ranks. Custom build one from their range of road frames using our expertise along the way to help you with the spec, bike fit and final build.

We are proud to be a Campagnolo stockist and Pro shop. Inventors of the quick release and rear derailleur we would’t have a lot of the technology used on bikes today without them. Still handmade in Italy their groupsets like Chorus, Record and Super Record are made to highest level with the finest materials and the Bora and Shamal wheels are some of the best performing road wheels out there. We stock a range of groupsets including the Ekar and a good selection of wheels too available on bikes and on the wheel wall. In the workshop you will find available plenty of spares ready for us to carry out professional servicing on your Campagnolo equipped bikes.

Its not a bike shop without Shimano although also known well in the fishing world too, the ultegra brand shares it name. All of our Bianchi, BMC and a lot of our Basso factory bikes come fitted with Shimano groupsets. We have good aftersales care and stock most spares to service the bikes too. Custom building is a big part of our business and we stock a range of Ultegra di2 and Dura Ace di2 components to add to your dream build list. The Shimano pedals are some of the best too and we stock a wide range.

Sram had everyone else catching up when they released the game changing wireless shifting road groupsets. Although the newest to the cycling world compared to the other two major groupset brands they are probably now the most popular with modern cyclist looking for a bike or build with minimal looks and connectivity.

We stock Enve composite wheels and components to fit onto our builds or available for upgrades to your existing bike. Truly some of the fastest wheels you can buy come at a price but its made even better knowing Enve offer their great support with the incidental damage protection package.

Our most popular brand in store for saddles and bar tape, they finish a custom build off in style. Now even more popular recently because of their adaptive range of saddles, we also have a few demo models available for try before you buy.

Stylish great handling italian finishing kit we use to finish off our Enigma, Colnago and Time custom builds. We also use the stems and bars for bike fitting as their short reach bars and wide range of stem sizes offers great bike fit solutions.

When choosing our cycling apparel for the store their was only one brand on our minds and that was Assos, most of us remember buying our first pair and feeling that great comfort and support not offered by other brands. Assos is buried deep into the history of cycling and played a significant part in introducing the lycra short and other technologies to the cycling world. It was Toni Maier who set on improving the materials riders were putting on their bodies. He looked at skiing for inspiration, drawn to the race suits being worn by the Swiss national team. He adapted the concept to cycling, developing the first Lycra shorts and anatomical skinsuit in the process. ASSOS was born.

Still handmade in Italy the SALICE cycling glasses look stylish with various models that suit different faces and helmet styles offering great coverage and ventilation. For a long time now our choice of cleaners, lubes and greases. Used by many World Tour team mechanics, its no fuss, good value and easy to select the right product. Our favourites are the Rolls Pro and Race oil lubes, 1000c Chain cleaner, bike wash and Carbon frame polish.

Ride faster and save energy. The coated bearing parts from Ceramic speed offer lifetime warranty and are a great component to add to your custom build or as an upgrade on your current bike. The most notable speed advantage is when the OSPW derailleur system, Bottom bracket, wheels bearings and UFO chain wax are all used together.

Handmade in Barnoldwick Hope tecnology bicycle components is one of the world leaders in engineering bicycle components. We use their bottom bracket solutions, hubs in our wheelbuilds and headsets in our titanium custom builds too.

We stock a good range of spares and every day essentials from top brands. Bottle cages, rim tapes, pumps, lights, multi tools, mudguards, saddles, bar tapes and many more ride or maintenance essentials our covered in our store. Other brands we use are, Topeak, Lezyne, Zefal, Elite, Ergon, Prologo, Cinelli, Silca, WMFG, BBB, Orange seal, K-Edge and SKS.

Want something different to the norm or current factory wheels don’t match your classic ride? We can build you a pair of wheels for your requirements and have the specific hub tooling for future servicing too. Brands we support in our builds include DT Swiss rims, hubs and spokes, Hope hubs, Chris King hubs, Miche hubs, Original Mavic Open pro rims and Sapim Spokes.

Wheels is the best upgrade you can make to any bike. We have tried lots of brands over the years and also as professional wheel builders can look at how well a wheel has been made and how long it will last. Alongside our Campagnolo and Enve wheels we also recommend Fast Forward and VeloElite wheels for their strength, servicing, low weight and of course speed.

Tubeless tyres have made the road,gravel and mtb tyre categories even bigger now. We have tested so many over the years and have our favourites due to ease of fitting, longevity, speed, grip and the key puncture resistance. This is covered over so many brands so we stock a wide range. Scwhalbe Pro One Super Race TLE, Pirelli P-Zero TLR, Michelin Power Cup TLR, Continental GP5000s TR and Vittoria Corsa NEXT TLR are our key road tyres because of their hooked and hookless compatibility across numerous wheel brands. We then use these brands to cover our stock of Gravel, MTB and tube type road tyres. For the cyclocross fans we keep Challenge tubulars hanging on the wheel wall too.

When it comes to servicing your bike we like to use manufacturer specific components unless a better alternative is found. Alongside Campagnolo, Shimano and Sram we also use Swissstop for brake pads, Capgo for cable solutions, C-bear, Hope and Rotor for Bottom Bracket solutions. Bearings are sourced from Enduro, NTN and SKF and we use Motorex greases and oils alongside Morgan blue for assembly. Bar tape is replaced using Lizard Skinz, Fizik or traditional cork tape.
